The Dunstan Cabin

The dark and stormy version of her sister cabin; the Dunstan sleeps two in a comfy Queen bed with premium linen. Full-ensuite with Eco Store sundries and linen robes. Kitchenette for cold food prep only with a kettle and toaster and containing cutlery, glassware, crockery and pantry essentials. A wood-burner for roasting marsh-mellows and keeping you cosy during the Winter months. A collection of books and board games to keep you entertained with a bluetooth capable radio speaker and a sunken outdoor bath in the lower deck to soak your worries away in.

The Main House

The main house sleeps 6 guests, in two well-appointed bedrooms with Queen beds, and on a comfortable Ecosa Queen-sized sofa bed in the TV room. Both bedrooms have large ensuites. There is a full kitchen with an oven, gas-top cooker, and large fridge/freezer. The house is heated by a wood burner and heat pump to keep you warm in the winter or cool in the summer. There is a TV room that can be converted into a third bedroom with a sofa bed. The TV has free-to-air channels and can be connected to your phone's data to view Netflix. The house has sliding doors that open out onto the back deck that looks over the surrounding vineyards and mountains. There is a large outdoor table on the deck for dining al-fresco and there is a large front lawn for playing a few games of Boules on.

The cabins and main house are perched on a rocky outcrop at the foothills of the Dunstan ranges, overlooking the panoramic Clutha basin. Your only neighbours are the ever changing vines, bird-life and pesky rabbits

Bendigo

Bendigo is located at the top of Lake Dunstan with a rich history in pioneer gold-mining and merino sheep farming. It’s best known today as producing some of the finest Pinot Noir grapes in Central Otago. If you feel like leaving the cabins, the mining relics of Welsh and Logantown are a short drive up the winding hills, where you can literally follow in the miners footsteps by walking the beautiful Aurora track (1 hour) or if you’re feeling more adventurous the DOC-run Kanuka track (5 hours). The Clutha River and Lake Dunstan are to be found at the bottom of the hill with an abundance of secluded swimming, fishing and picnicking spots. Hit some balls alongside the local sheep at the Tarras golf club or sample the delicious wines at the neighbouring vineyards.
